Hell’s Precipice.

3 W/Mo, 1 N/Mo, 1 R/Mo, 1 E/Me, 2 Mo/Me.

The plan: (yes, we actually had one)
The three W/Mo were pretty much left to do their thing. One packed Life Bond, just incase. The Idea was for the N/Mo (moi) to use dual orders + back up curses to boost their damage output.
The E/Me was going to go Echo-Meteor Shower which would count as cold damage thanks to the R/Mo's nature spirit, Winter.

We'd talked this over, everyone agreed on what we were doing and off we went to breeze through the mission... At least, that's what should have happened. In actuality our R/Mo didn't speak a word of english besides "ok" and had gone and packed Greater Conflagration.

One time I joined a group of nothing but W/R with my Monk in Hell's Precipace just for the purpose of seeing what master plan of attack they had concocted...

By the time we got the the Sparks they were all cussing me out for failing to keep them healed...Meanwhile I'm sitting there spamming....

"My energy is 0 out of 60!"

Not one of them brought ungent or healing signet....go figure

Hell in Hell's Precipice:

Mission and bonus, agreed upon by all. Get past the first seal and one warrior keeps running off looking for chests. Then three peeps go running off to cap! Needless to say, we didn't finish the mission. Ah ..... nothing like teamwork.

Hells precipice... infinite times...

Me: "I'll call targets, ok?"
Mr PuG: "What?"

Or, just after defeating a mob...

Mr PuG: "Why do you tell people what you're attacking all the time?"

Or...

Mr PuG: "Stop spamming n00b!"

I cant remember specifics, but anytime the W/Mo dies and proceeds to go nuts at the healers to res them. When everyone but the noob is dead, who is now well out of aggro. They then go and use their res sig on a Mesmer or Necro (or anyone else in the party without healing or res skills) instead of a Monk.

W/Mo's that dont stop and allow casters to regen after a big battle.

I'm sure this has happened to every monk before.
Abaddons Mouth

*W/Mo starts running off after somet with extremely low health*

'I'm using Word of Healing on xxx!' (spammed a few hundred times in the hope he gets it)

*W/Mo dies*

Starts moaning about where the healing was always amusing to hear.

Next group, runs up ALONE into 2 Mursaat Eles

*activates Frenzy*

You can imagine what happened next...

SS/SV (Me) and a 55 hp monk (stranger) was doing a UW smite run.
Early I noticed that he wasn't using Spellbreaker. "Let's have some fun with this guy" I thought.
We got to the smites and a group of 4 killed him.

Me: Want me to res? *smiling*
Him: Halp (This is not a spelling mistake, he did say halp).

/leave.

Or another situation with a SoJ user. He engaged some smites and got to a corner where I couldn't get to him without aggroing coldfire nights. I aggroed them and the maelstrom killed him.

Me: If you mess with the best, you get owned like the rest.
player has left the game.

Warrior who claims he is experienced in SF, turns out to not know where Oro is, runs headlong into every mob, and then runs all the way into SF without confirming that anybody had taken the initiative to get Oro (uh, nobody had).

Elementalist who joined a queen farming group in Augury Rock and exclaimed about how Echo-Firestorm rocks.

(I didn't even kick him. It had been so long since I'd used it myself I forgot the casting cost and recharge time. If they were like Fireball, Firestorm might actually be useful on all those trappers.)

N/W - "LFG for defend droks"
N/W - "I've quit playing GW for months because I can never find anyone to do this quest."

So I join up with my mesmer, feeling some sympathy for him not being able to find a group for something as easy as this, instead of taking henchmen. Get in, and notice there's 3 necros, so I ask who is going to be summoning minions, "We're not using minions." they say, and so I continue thinking it's going to be wells, maybe SS and battery or something. A warrior joins up, and the rest we take as henches. The warrior is kind of uneasy about our setup at first, but goes with anyway. Get out, and the N/W is tanking with a shield and sword along with the tank, wells are sprouting up in useless locations, and I could tell nobody was using spiteful spirit. 2 of the necros keep dying during every battle, and the tank starts getting irritated with the N/W that keeps dying and pulling unnecessary aggro in. By the time we reach Mineral Springs, all the necros have 60 dp, the warrior 15 dp, and me 30dp. We then try to pull the few mobs left after the avicara/titan battle at the begining, and everyone dies again. The tank laughed and quit, and the necros decide to go back and regroup in town again. I quit the group. Then I notice the LFG message again.

N/W - "LFG for defend droks"
N/W - "I have quit playing GW for months because I can never find anyone to do this quest."

me (to myself) - "Ya, no wonder why. lol"

(They also thought WoP gave alot more than +2 energy regen)

Was in hells and I was W/E. Some guy says I suck because I died several times. (I was surrounded by titans and half the party was afk so only like 3 of us were fighting them).

We retry and now the guy who said I was noob dies every single time we get into a fight. I tank may way through it all (had nice healers though). I guess he died like 30-40 times during the entire mission but we won anyway =D

Bashing noobs is funny but eh... where would they learn not to be noob?

Like, how can a noob learn what SF is all about if no party wants him if he says he doesn't know?

I met this guy too (or someone acting exactly like him), but I left him in his aggro until the coldfires patrol was over

I think the prime difference between a newbie and a noob is a willingness to learn. I have one example.

In one of my uncharacteristic displays of kindness I decided to go back to some of the earlier missions like Fort Ranik and help out with my warrior since I find that the cause of most low level groups dieing is ineffective aggro management. So I party up with a PUG and a couple of the players have been through the game once but there were another two that were brand new to the game. So I tell them. I'll call targets I'll pull groups just attack what I attack and watch what I do. Well we hit the first Fort Ranik group and I run in and grab them, draw them back a little ways and then we proceed to wail on them. Everything goes fine. One of the new guys wants to try the next group so I let him. He died because he brushed his circle between two groups and drew them both. I go in kill them and he's like" What did I do wrong?" I told him he tried again the next group and drew them in perfectly. That's a newbie. Now the other guy he decides he wants to try. He aggros three groups running around in circles because he passed the first group and got blocked on his return route. He of course dies. Then this pops up.

Mr. Noob: OMGWTFBBQ. You suck that didn't work at all.
Me: Well you aggro'd like three groups there. you should only aggro one at a time.
Mr. Noob: You killed those three groups the last time.
Me: Yeah but I'm level 20 with end game armor and a full set of skills.
Mr. Noob: WTF ever you suxxor. F*ck you and this noob group.
Mr. Noob has left the game.

That's a noob right there. That is a person that would rather wallow in their ignorance than learn from experience.

What's the problem with Mending or FDS for that matter?

I hate it when people judge wammos as noobs because some of us are real good at it and we have things to back up Mending for energy and as for the FDS, if it's max dmg I don't care. Might as well get Mark of Rodgort and have that FDS wammo swing away for some burning if there was an ele in the group.

Most noobies start off with wammos but they don't all suck and aren't all noobs. I use Mending and Healing Breeze but I use other skills noobs wouldn't think to use for energy and I use Knight's Chest but it's my only Knight piece to reduce dmg since they don't stack, however shame to those who do. Okay, then maybe they're noobs if they do that...
